CliniCloud is a connected medical kit designed for the home. CliniCloud integrates recordings from the two devices and brings them together in one simple app. You can store these readings on your phone or a secure cloud server. The app also provides metrics such as respiratory rate and heart rate to help you see if anything is out of the ordinary.

Brief
CliniCloud approached me to create a working prototype and conceptual designs of the CliniCloud app that would enable users to easily operate the bluetooth-connected stethoscopes and thermometers, check their own vitals and have a doctor access them via the cloud.The prototype would be used to help developers build the app. The conceptual designs would be used in the launch video and to aid CliniCloud in their pitch to investors.
User experience
Working with Hon Weng Chong, the founder of CliniCloud, we created and evolved the app feature list. Using this as a basis for user journeys, we had a full day white-boarding session to map out the app architecture and brainstorm the interaction model of the app.
Information architecture
The app was divided into 4 main sections and initiated using a horizontal ‘sticky’ toolbar.
Rapid Prototype
Due to the tight deadline, CliniCloud and I worked together to build a rapid prototype enabling us to skip over the wire-framing stage. A functional prototype was created using Axure to successfully represent the interactions between each page / section within the app. The prototype focused on the key functions: Using the bluetooth stethoscope and thermometer with the app on their device, managing their account and dependant accounts and searching, reviewing and sharing recordings.
The prototype was tested on users to validate its usability.

App launch 2015
After months of building and testing, the app is now ready for launch. Final CliniCloud designs were completed by another designer. Below are some key screens displaying how they implemented my user experience design.
Awards and recognition
In 2016, CliniCloud won GOLD in the Quality of Life and Patient Care category at the Edison Innovation Awards and also was a finalist in the Healthy Baby Category at The Bump Best of Baby Tech Awards.
